BNET Praises the Role of Women on Bahraini Women’s Day

Manama, Bahrain: Bahrain Network (BNET), marked the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day with a number of staff members participating in the celebration held to show appreciation for BNET’s female employees’ invaluable contribution and efforts. As an employer continuously delivering equal opportunities, BNET is very proud of the many successes achieved by its female employees, with many of them rising through the ranks to attain supervisory, management and senior executive roles. 

BNET invited Eng. Muna Al Hashemi, an influential, inspiring female figure and role model to share her story of success with BNET employees on her journey to become the first woman to assume a leadership position in the telecommunications sector in the GCC.

Ahmed Jaber Aldoseri, Chief Executive Officer of BNET, commented: “We would like to take this opportunity on Bahraini Women’s Day to give praise to HRH Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Bahrain Supreme Council for Women for her efforts in fostering the position and roles of women in Bahraini Society.”

“We are proud to provide equal opportunities to both female and male employees at BNET based on their skills and abilities, with numerous women holding key roles at BNET,” he added.

Eng. Muna Al Hashemi, commented: “Bahraini Women’s Day is an important national occasion that receives remarkable attention from both the governmental and private sectors, during which the achievements of Bahraini women are celebrated in appreciation to their contributions in various sectors.”

“I would like to extend my appreciation to BNET`s management for their special invitation to participate in the celebration of this national occasion, which reflects the company’s interest and keenness to support equal opportunities to both female and male employees based on their skills and abilities,  and to promote its employees to leadership positions to serve our beloved country” she added.

It is worth noting that the celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day coincides this year with the 93rd   anniversary of the start of formal education for women in Bahrain, which in itself is considered as a foundational establishment to the work and efforts of Bahraini women.
